The Caretaker Committee of NBA Ikeja Branch has directed candidates vying for the various positions in the forthcoming Branch elections to submit their nomination forms.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Committee which was sighted by LEGALDESKNG

Besides, it noted that candidates who have earlier submitted to the erstwhile Electoral Committee are by the new notice, required to submit again.

Furthermore, the Committee noted that failure to submit on or before 5:00 PM, Monday, 27th day of July, 2020, it means such candidate is deemed not to be interested in contesting again.

The statement reads:

SUBMISSION OF NOMINATION DOCUMENTS FOR NBA IKEJA ELECTION 2020.

1. NOTICE is hereby given to all candidates who have earlier on submitted their Nomination documents to the former Electoral Committee of the Branch to submit a copy of the submitted Nomination Form with attached qualifying documents on or before 5:00Pm Monday, 27th July, 2020. The said candidate must submit details of the member that nominated and seconded him or her in the previous application. Note that those that nominate and second the candidates must be qualified as the candidates for the desired posts.

2. Three copies of the Nomination Documents and the attached documents must be in a sealed envelope addressed to the Caretaker Committee at the back of which the candidate’s name and the position vying for must be clearly written.

3. NOTE that any candidate who fails to submit his or her nomination documents within the time specified shall be deemed by the Committee not to be interested any longer in the forthcoming election of the Branch.

4. The sealed envelope is to be submitted to Queen Ebohon at the Bar Centre within the working hours of each day.

5. The Committee appreciates your anticipated cooperation in this regard.
