The Executive committee of the Eti-Osa Lawyers’ Forum (ELF) led by M M A SANNI Esq. has urged indigenes and residents of Eti-Osa and it environs to remain calm while awaiting a positive response from the State Government over their call for the name of the High/Magistrate Court in the area to be corrected from Ajah Badore to Eti-Osa as demanded by the community.
This was in reaction to the peaceful protest undertaken by the Eti-Osa indigenes and Students Union on Monday at the site of the new Court complex to press home their demand for the correction in the name on the signage of the Court which is now ready for commissioning.
The Forum restated its confidence in the Lagos State authorities to meet the desire of the community by effecting the correction, especially because the creation of the Court was initiated by the indigenes.
ELF also used the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba and the Honourable Attorney General for their concerted efforts in ensuring timely completion of the iconic project within so short a time in the life of the young administration.
It also urges the members to remain steadfast while awaiting the delivery of Justice by the Riverside, as the Forum awaits the upgrade of its status from a Forum to a Branch after the necessary approval.
