The Chairman of the Body of Senior Advocates in South East, Chief Anthony Mogbo, SAN has charged the Soseipriye Long Williams led Governing Council of the Nigerian Bar Association, Eastern Bar Forum to keep the Forum and dreams of its founding fathers alive.
He made this charge last Friday at his private residence in Enugu when the Governor of EBF led members of the Council on a one day working visit to Enugu state. According to the learned Silk, the EBF was formed to unite all the branches of the NBA in the old Eastern Region of Nigeria towards achieving a common goal.
Chief Mogbo expressed happiness that the Eastern Bar Forum is still waxing stronger. He also thanked the Governor and members of the EBF Governing Council for honouring him with the visit. The Governor of the Forum S. Long Williams thanked the learned silk for his hospitality and prayed the Almighty keep him in good health.
Earlier on the same day, the Governing Council had visited the Exco of NBA Enugu Branch where the Chairman Anene Ojinta Esq. handed over the documents on the piece of land donated to the EBF by the Governor of Enugu State His Excellency, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The handing over ceremony was witnessed by the Secretary of Enugu Branch K.I. Onwusi, Joyce Okoche the Financial Secretary, Lovina Ngozi Eneh the Treasure amongst others.
The EBF Governor on behalf of the Forum thanked the past and present leadership of Enugu Branch for their tireless effort i ensuring that the land is secured. The Chairman on behalf of the Enugu Branch Exco thanked the Governing Council for the visit.
