Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has felicitated Muslim faith as they commence the annual Ramadan fast.

Vice President Osinbajo wrote on his verified Facebook page; “As another new moon ushers in the blessed month of Ramadan, I send my warmest greetings to all Muslims in our country.

“The month of Ramadan is a wonderful reminder of the importance of generosity, compassion, and dignity for all people. It is a time for reflection, praying, fasting, and devotion to one’s self and community.

“May God’s blessings be upon all of your acts of sacrifice and piety during this time and beyond. #ramadanmubarak”

Recalls that the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on Friday, announced the sighting of the moon, showing the commencement of Ramadan on Saturday.
