Engr. Conrad Terhide Utaan, a contender for the National Chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appealed for unity among party members as the critical National Executive Committee, NEC meeting approaches in February 2025.

In a letter addressed to party members, Utaan expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received since declaring his candidacy.

“Your encouragement has fueled my passion to serve, and I remain committed to upholding the values and principles that define our great party,” he stated.
Utaan endorsed the resolutions made at a key meeting in Plateau State, describing the decision to convene the NEC meeting as “a step in the right direction.”

He called for meaningful stakeholder consultations to strengthen the party and foster unity, commending the National Working Committee, led by Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagum, as well as the PDP Governors’ Forum, the Board of Trustees, and other organs of the party, for their contributions to stabilizing and advancing the party.

“Your leadership and selfless service are commendable,” Utaan remarked.

The aspirant urged party members to remain steadfast and patient during the ongoing leadership selection process, emphasizing that unity and collaboration are vital for the party’s success.

“This is a critical time for the PDP, and only unity and collaboration can take us to our destination,” he added, expressing optimism about the party’s future.

Utaan also highlighted the PDP’s legacy as a symbol of democracy and inclusivity. He emphasized the importance of harnessing the energy of the youth while respecting the wisdom of the party’s elders.

“Together, let us renew our commitment to build a future filled with hope, justice, and prosperity for all,” he concluded.

The February NEC meeting is anticipated to be a pivotal moment in shaping the PDP’s future as it navigates its transformative journey.
