The Chairman of the Technical Committee on Conference Planning of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA-TCCP, Barrister Tobenna Erojikwe will this week, bury his father, Chief Eddy Erojikwe at the Family Compound at Nnewi, Anambra State.

According to the Burial program released by the Family, there will be a vigil Mass on 21st September 2022 while the Funeral Mass and interment will be on 22nd September 2022.

A brief information released by the family revealed that Chief Edwin Ekemezie Erojikwe of Uruagu Nnewi died 5 days after he turned 86. He was an academic technologist and research scientist who had a remarkable career working in many notable establishments including the Veterinary Research Institute in Vom, Plateau State, the Public Health Laboratory Luton England, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Berlin, West Germany and the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Chief Edwin Erojikwe was a prolific researcher whose scholarly works in Veterinary Medicine are extensively published in notable international journals. For four years he served as Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, UNN Branch. Following his retirement from the University of Nigeria after an illustrious career that saw him serve in most of the University boards including the UNN Community Bank he continued in private consultancy until March this year.

Edwin Ekemezie Erojikwe was an extraordinary man who impacted many lives through his philanthropy and his investor in people principles.

He is survived by his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ebele Erojikwe ( former principal University Secondary School, Nsukka) and several children who have distinguished themselves in different fields of endeavour.

The burial and funeral ceremonies have been fixed for Wednesday 21st September 2022 (vigil mass) and Thursday 22nd September (burial ceremony and reception).
