Olusegun Bamgbose, National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance (CAGG) has called on the leadership of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) and family of the departed church leader, Temitope Balogun Joshua, to bury the cleric on June 12.

Bamgbose also described the death of Joshua as shocking and disheartening.

DAILY POST reported on Sunday that Joshua, founder and Senior Prophet of SCOAN, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

He died at the age of 57, a few days to his 58th birthday, after concluding a church programme on Saturday.

“No one saw it coming. He was a great preacher and a great philanthropist. He indeed was an inestimable asset. He will be missed by many of his followers,” Bamgbose told DAILY POST.

“This is a big message to top pastors and politicians that death is inevitable and unpredictable. No prophet in Nigeria saw it coming.

“On one part the nation is mourning the exit of T.B.Joshua, on the other hand, we are celebrating the 80th birthday of the foremost pastor in Nigeria, Pastor W.F.Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Christian Ministry.

“That is God for you. I am sure T.B. Joshua had it in mind to wish Pastor Kumuyi happy birthday but most unfortunately death could not allow him.

“He had an unfulfilled mission which was to organize prayer and fasting for the peace of Nigeria come 12th June.

“I will, however, enjoin the leaders of Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) to bury him on the 12th of June which is his birthday as well as Democracy Day.

“Nigeria indeed has lost a great patriot. It might be very difficult to find his replacement. He was a rare species.”
