The former Secretary of The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, ‘Seyi Olawumi, Esq. felicitates with the Executive Committee, members of his home Branch and other stakeholders on the occasion of this year’s Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Symposium, describing the event as a good way of starting the New Year.
The former Scribe of the Ikeja Bar expresses his delight that successive administrations have continued to uphold and preserve this great legacy of the Bar.
He said ‘’It is with nostalgia that I remember the maiden edition of the Chief Gani Fawehinmi Symposium and It is quite delightful that successive administrations have continued to uphold and preserve this great legacy of the Ikeja Bar.”
He further stressed that “It is a good way of starting the New Year as the symposium would afford all stakeholders a veritable platform to interact around the theme: ‘ Federalism and whether our Judiciary is under serious Threat’. Issues would be distilled and ideas that would help move our Nation and indeed the Judiciary forward would be formulated.
I most heartily commend the Executive Committee for sustaining this laudable programme which has become an annual tradition of our great Branch. While I urge us all to continue to strive to preserve and build on all the good legacies for which our dear Branch is well-reputed, I wish all our distinguished Silks, learned seniors and respected colleagues a successful Fawehimiism
