Bukola Saraki, former Senate President has condemned the death of 38 Nigerians in fresh bandit attacks on communities in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

DAILY POST reported that the death toll of the attack on Kaduna communities stands at 38.

Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan confirmed that 38 people were killed, and property burnt during the attack.

He added that 29 of the victims have been identified, while the remaining nine were yet to be identified.

According to him, those killed by bandits include: Rabi`u Wada, Salisu Boka, Alh Nura Nuhu, Alh Bashari Sabiu, Alh Lawal Dahiru, Abbas Saidu, Inusa Kano, Malam Lawal Nagargari, Malam Aminu, Lawal Maigyad.

Others are Alh Mustapha, Lawal Aliyu, Sale Makeri, Sani Lawal, Auwal Umar, Jamilu Hassan, Badamasi Mukhtar, Malam Jibril, Lawal Tsawa, and Sule Hamisu.

Reacting, Saraki expressed sadness over the tragic situation.

He condoled with the family of those killed by terrorists, even as he condemned the attack.

On his Facebook page, he wrote: “I got bad news about the terrible attack yesterday on some villages in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. By all indications, the following towns have been committed.

“At least 38 people killed by terrorists. I can’t imagine the pain that families and community are going through in this situation.

“As they mourn the loss of their close ones, I and my family are mourning the whole people of Kaduna State and Giwa Local Government Area. And I pray that Allah may grant those killed a good place in Paradise.”
