…Family Bar describes the deceased as a dedicated and staunch member…
It is with a rude shock and grief that the Family bar announces the transition to glory of her member, His Honour C.J Nebechukwu Stella Obiageli who passed on after a brief illness.
The sad situation was disclosed in a press release jointly signed by the Chairman J.C Oraekeh, Esq and the Publicity Secretary Kevin Chizoba Ezeoke, Esq of the Nigerian Bar Association ( NBA) Anaocha branch after the monthly meeting at late Chief Charles E.N Obegolu bar center at Obeledu in Anaocha Local Government Area Anambra state of Nigeria on 26th day of October, 2024.
The deceased as a legal practitioner was elevated to the bench as a President of Customary court in Anambra state wherein she discharged her sacred duty of doing justice to all manner of persons without fear or favour, colour or creed. She held the scale of justice firmly and strove immensely in her capacity to keep the stream of justice pure.
Until her demise, she still religiously made out time to impact positively on the activities of the branch and her presence and contributions were always felt and treasured.
She had etched her name in platinum in the memorial book and marble of history of NBA Anaocha branch staunch deceased members and in the minds of the people whose lives she touched positively.
As we grieve, let us have a sober reflection on and emulate her life lessons, litany of virtues and sterling qualities as a judex and unifier.
Her legacies will remain evergreen in our hearts and be of good reference points.
We fervently pray Almighty God to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and accord her gentle soul eternal repose.
The FAMILY BAR comprising the Executives ,the Senior Advocates of Nigeria,Elders,Senior lawyers and all other colleagues of the branch, extends her deepest heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the late judex’s beloved family, the entire legal community including Anambra state judiciary and the people of Anambra state of Nigeria.
She will be finally interred on 9th day of November,2024.
May her gentle soul rest in peace, amen.
