A prominent member of NBA Owerri, Chief Bona Ibegbulem, has passed at the age of 86.
According to a statement released by his family, Chief Ibegbulem passed a couple of days ago.
He was called to the Bar in 1978 and was engaged in active legal practice until about 2010, when he became visually impaired, which forced his retirement from active legal practice.
However, between 1997 and 1998, Chief Ibegbulem served as Chairman, Imo State Local Government Election Petitions Tribunal, in which capacity he was known to have delivered many erudite judgments.
Alive, he was a true Bar man, a gentleman par excellence, and a well-respected member of NBA Owerri Branch.
