Senior Advocate of Nigeria Asiwaju Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, has written a memo to Chief T.J.O Okpoko, SAN, a former President of NBA (1998) and the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) on the state of the forthcoming July elections, highlighting the risks of allowing a person not yet conferred with the prestigious rank to lead the Nigerian Bar Association.
In a MEMO sighted by LEGALDESKNG, Awomolo SAN,expressed how the Bar was rescued after a problem associated with the 1992 failed annual general conference and the hiatus occasioned by it.
Furthermore, the memo written to Chief T.J.O Okpoko SAN, the oldest living past NBA President, and copied to all members of Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) urged the elder to convened the meeting of past leaders of the Bar to arrest a possible decline of the leadership.
