RESTRICTIONS FOR JUDGES FROM TAKING CHIEFTAINCY TITLES OR BECOMING DIRECTORS OF COMPANIES.

In Nigeria, Judges are prohibitted from taking or accepting chieftaincy titles while in office.

Also a Judge may be a shareholder in a company but may not be a director, manager, adviser or employee of any business entity.

Violation constitutes judicial misconduct and or, misbehavior and attracts disciplinary action.
