POWER OF A PRIVATE PERSON TO ARREST PERSONS DESTROYING PUBLIC PROPERTY
In Nigeria, a private person may arrest any person found damaging or destroying any public property.
However, after such arrest, the person so arrested must be immediately handed over to a Police Officer or taken to a Police Station.
