Controversial singer Portable has stirred up controversy again, this time over his disappointment with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Portable expressed his dissatisfaction after a recent encounter with Obi in Benin City, Edo State.

In a video clip from the meeting, Portable lamented that Obi did not give him any money, a gesture he contrasted with his perception of President Tinubu, whom he claimed would have offered him financial support.

Portable’s reaction has not been well-received by the public, with many taking to social media to criticize his perceived sense of entitlement.

One user, SS1cashofficial, questioned Portable’s status, asking, “Is he a beggar of an artiste?”

Another, Saint_Ndoo, wondered how Portable had gained fame, while Mayorsoj suggested that Obi’s campaign slogan should have been “We no dey give shi shi,” referring to a common local phrase meaning “we don’t give out money.”

Trenches_Kitchen echoed similar sentiments, reminding Portable of the campaign slogan with the comment, “We no dey give shishi. Have you forgotten our slogan?”

Aproko Zone took a stronger stance, labeling Portable as an “entitled nuisance” and questioning whether everyone should be expected to give him something.

Meanwhile, Abayomi simply stated, “Portable anywhere belle face,” and Garbage Gunner stated, “Beggar dey beginning anywhere, anybody, anytime,” noting a perception of Portable as consistently seeking handouts.
