The police in Kano on Sunday freed a 35 years old man held captive allegedly by his biological father for 15 years at Skeka quarters within Kano metropolis.

A security source revealed that detectives attached to the Kano state Headquarters of the state Command Bompai rescued the 35 years old man around 11:45am on Sunday.

The man identified as Ibrahim Lawan is the son of an Imam of Friday mosque, Malam Lawan of Sheka, Unguwar Fulani adjacent Gidan Mai Unguwa Bello .

Ibrahim Lawan is the second person to be rescued by the Police in kano within that last 72 hours in Kano.

A 32-year-old Kano man, Ahmad Aliyu, was rescued by police on Thursday after spending 7 years in solitary confinement in his father’s garage .

The Stings operations coducted by the State Police Commissioner, Habu Sani, alongside the top senior officers was a product of “an established intelligence. “

Newsmen learnt that Mallam Lawan, the biological father of the victim of unlawful incarceration wasn’t at home when the security agents struck.

However a video clip of the operation obtained by newsmen showed the man being evacuated by two health workers into a waiting ambulance to Mallam Aminu Kano Hospital for medical attention.

In the short clip, Ibrahim Lawan who was incarcerated at the age of 20 has lost the vigour, and the vitality of a healthy man, as he now looked frail, sick and uncoordinated.

Similarly, an enthusiastic family members were seen in jubilation as Ibrahim emerged from the filthy dungeon in the video, as they prayed for his quick recovery.
