Two Senior Cadre officers, ASP Victor Eze and the ASP Paul Ekwumawoke have find themselves in serious mess after group whatsapp discussions between them and their colleagues leaked and caught the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed.

The scenerio which apparently led to the discussion was unconnected to the drama which played out before the Presidency finally announced a 3 months extension of service for the IGP.

In the query issues to the officer, Victor Eze, written through the FCT police command, he was accused of gross insubordination, discredit able conduct, divided loyalty and act unbecoming of a Public Officer.

Apparently excited by the unconfirmed reports of the appointment of a new Inspector-General of Police, Eze was said to have written “if Adamu is decorating the next IGP, that he should not wear the IGP rank, that the former IGP make that same mistake,” a statement to which one of his colleagues responded “if he likes, let him wear field marshal rank, ‘Ewu Nasarawa’.”

This act, according to the content of the query clearly constituted an act of divided loyalty as, of the truth, there was NO confirmed report of a replacement and IGP Adamu was still clearly in charge of the Nigeria Police.
