The Police Command in Plateau State has confirmed the abduction of the wife and daughter of Plateau State Commissioner for Environment, Usman Bamaiyi, by terrorists on Saturday morning.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ubah Ogaba, said, “When we got the information at about 2:30 am, we quickly mobilised our tactical team to the area. At the moment, our men are working to rescue the victims and arrest the perpetrators.”

Recalls that Usman Bamaiyi, the Plateau State Commissioner for Environment’s wife and daughter were abducted by terrorists in the early hours of Saturday when they stormed the Commissioner’s residence located in the Gindiri community, Mangu Local Government Area of the state.

A source told DAILY POST that the Commissioner was not at home when the terrorists came into the house and carried out the attack.

He explained that the abduction was only discovered after the gunmen left the area.
