The President of Pan African Lawyers Union(PALU), chief Emeka J.P Obegolu, FICMC, has been named Grand patron of NBA Anaocha Branch.
The Nigerian Bar Association Anaocha branch on Saturday recognized him and other special dignitaries during their 3rd Biennial Law week which was held at White Castle Hotel, Neni in Anambra State.
The Award night was chaired by honorable Justice Denis Mmaduechesi.
Award of Outstanding Achievement was given to Justice Ijem Onwuamaegbu in recognition of her achievement in the bench as the first female Chief judge of Anambra state.
Dr (Mrs) Uju Nwogu was honoured in recognition of her achievement as the first female Attorney general from Anaocha LGA origin.
Award of Outstanding Achievement was also given to Chief (Dr) Bestman Anekwe in recognition of his achievement in the oil and gas industry as a guru.
An award of outstanding Achievement was given to Chief (Sir) Joseph Ilonze in recognition of his achievement in piloting the affairs of the people’s club of Nigeria international with excellent leadership.
Other people recognized at the event include:
Emmanuel Achukwu SAN, Gorge Igbokwe SAN, and Chief Alexander Ejesieme SAN were honoured in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the legal profession.
Lorretta Okoye and Uju Onochie were also recognized for their outstanding Achievement in the bench as a true magistrate.
Award of Outstanding Achievement was also given to prince (Dr) Emeka Eze in recognition of his outstanding Achievement in humanitarian activities.
Also, Engr Chukwudi Mbonu was honoured for outstanding achievement in piloting the Affairs of Neni town Union and engendering the members of the Neni town Union towards the creation of Anaocha judicial division.
Award of Outstanding Achievement was also given to Ada Obinna Edozie in recognition of his outstanding achievement in the legal profession.
