In a notice issued on Friday , the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, has announced a change in the resumption date for the May 2024 Bar Part 2 Academic Session.

The programme, which was initially scheduled to commence on Monday, May 27th, 2024, will now begin on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 instead.
“This is to notify all prospective Students and the general public that the May 2024 Bar Part 2 Academic Session will now commence on Monday 3rd June 2024 and not Monday 27th May, please,” the statement read.
The postponement comes as a surprise to many aspiring lawyers who were making preparations to resume studies later this month. However, the Nigerian Law School authorities have deemed it necessary to push back the start date by one week.

While no specific reasons were provided for the change in the resumption schedule, it is speculated that the Law School may require additional time for administrative and logistical arrangements ahead of the new academic session.

The Director-General, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, has urged students and the general public to take note of this important update and to contact the school’s authorities for any further inquiries.
