The All Progressives Congress would today (Monday) hold an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee.

Although details of the agenda remained sketchy on Sunday, our correspondent learnt that the meeting would set agenda for the proposed national caucus and the National Executive Council meetings.

A member of the NWC, who confirmed receiving the notice of the meeting to our correspondent, said the committee would at the emergency meeting review the Saturday governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states among other issues.

“We are going to review the just concluded governorship elections and issues affecting the party in other states,” the source said.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, confirmed the notice of the meeting on Sunday but gave no details of the agenda.

“We are having an emergency meeting tomorrow. I can’t say more than that for now,” he said.

When asked if the NEC meeting was called because of a statement issued a few days ago by the Director General of the Progressives Governors Forum, Salihu Lukman, Issa-Onilu said it was called at nobody’s instance.
