Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FCIMC, and Life Bencher is a highly respected senior advocate of Nigeria who has made extensive contributions to the Nigerian legal field. Born on November 21, 1965, into the family of the Late Senator Chief Ademola Hezekiah Akinboro and Chief Mrs Hannah Adefunke Akinboro, he hails from Kuta Kingdom in Aiyedire L.G.A., Osun State.

After earning his LL.B. (Hons) from Lagos State University in 1990 and being called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991, Akinboro embarked on a diverse legal career. He worked with Plateau State Ministry of Justice, Femi Lanlehin & Co., and Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) & Co. before establishing his own law firm, Akinboro & Co., with offices in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt. A Harvard-trained negotiator, he holds fellowships from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Management Consultants.

Aare Akinboro has held numerous esteemed positions, including membership on the FCT Judicial Service Committee, the University of Benin’s Governing Council, and the Federal Judicial Service Commission. His service to the Nigerian Bar Association includes roles as Secretary and Chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch, Past General Secretary of the NBA, and a National Executive Committee Life Member. As a Life Bencher, he holds a lifetime membership in the Body of Benchers, Nigeria’s highest legal decision-making body.

Beyond his legal accomplishments, Aare Akinboro is known for his philanthropy, especially in supporting the underprivileged, and has been honoured as Aare Bamofin of Kuta Kingdom. Happily married to Mrs. Flora Taiwo Uruejoma-Akinboro, he is a father of three and enjoys travelling, reading, sports, intellectual discussions, and research.
