The President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, has wished all Muslim faithful, particularly the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) a happy celebration of Eid al – Adha.

In a statement he made to newsmen , he wished all Muslim faithful a happy celebration of such an important Islamic festival. He also urged them to not forget what the festival and the period in general, represents.

He said “I wish all Muslim faithful everywhere a happy Eid- al Adha. I especially extend my wishes to members of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN). The celebration of this auspicious festival preaches a theme of sacrifice, which is poignant and apt for the times we live in, both as a nation and as the Nigerian Bar Association. As we celebrate today, let us remember the tenets of love, caring and sharing that the Holy Qur’an teaches, because love is the bedrock of any truly meaningful sacrifice.

I have no doubt that many of us have made sacrifices in this peculiar times of the pandemic. I urge us not to be weary, and continue to make sacrifices propelled by love, for God, for country and for the Nigerian Bar Association.

I wish you all a very pleasant festival and may your heartfelt prayers be answered. Eid al-Adha Mubarak.

Signed
OLUMIDE AKPATA”
