The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Yakubu Maikyau SAN, has announced the constitution of 20 standing committees to carry out the mandates of the NBA.

This announcement was made in a letter signed by Maikyau, dated 15th April, 2023.
These committees include the Rule of Law and Human Rights Committee, Judiciary Committee, Law Reform Committee, Ethics and Discipline Committee and Legal Education Committees among others.

The President thanked members of the committee for accepting the call to serve the NBA.

These committees which were ratified by the NBA National Executive Council meeting of 23rd March, 2023, are charged with executing the mandate of the NBA. The President had earlier constituted some notable committees including Flood/Disaster Relief Committee, NBA Employment Bureau, Electoral Working Group, NBA Editorial Board and Journal Committee.
