In a local community called Eda, long before the advent of modern legal systems, the people had traditional laws that regulated their conducts with one another, as well as communal systems which were used to resolve disputes and punish offenders.
Years passed, and civilization caught up with Eda. The traditional systems of adjudication were slowly replaced by modern court systems and black robes.
One question lingered in the minds of the people — was contemporary justice delivery going to erode the traditional systems of adjudication?
Like the people of Eda, this question is a lingering one in the minds of people — and maybe yours too.
This is why we are inviting you to this Breakout Session on Day 5 of the 2024 NBA AGC where distinguished traditional leaders will be lending their voices to this discourse
