In a powerful endorsement, High Chief Emeka Obegolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has thrown his support behind Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe in the upcoming Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) presidential election.

Chief Obegolu, a prominent figure in the legal community, described Mazi Osigwe as “a man of courage, a man of conviction, and a man whose life story and success in the Nigerian Bar Association has given him an intimate understanding of the kind of leadership we need now.”

Chief Obegolu highlighted Mazi Osigwe’s impressive track record of service to the NBA, having held various positions such as National General Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, and Council member of the Council of Legal Education. He also emphasized Mazi Osigwe’s role as a unifier, stating that “Mazi Afam Osigwe will restore the fortunes of our association and will stand for and do what is right at all times.”

The endorsement comes at a crucial time for Nigeria, with Chief Obegolu noting that the country is at a crossroads. He expressed his belief that Mazi Osigwe, if elected, will restore the values of the NBA and ensure that the Bar takes center stage in standing for the rule of law and fairness in the nation.

Chief Obegolu called on lawyers of good conscience to join in supporting Mazi Osigwe, stating that “Mazi Afam Osigwe is the clear candidate in this election. Mazi has the experience to do this job.” He emphasized that this is a time to look forward with hope and determination for the future of the NBA, and that with Mazi Osigwe at the helm, the association will be in safe hands once again.
