Our correspondent recalls that a former member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Barrister Muideen Olalekan Olagunju had in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday, said that a Malian identified as Sawane Youssouf was the one occupying the building where the incident occured.

Speaking on Friday, one of the victims of the explosion said that the Malian, his co-workers and family members left the house just before the explosion occurred.

The man who introduced himself as Muhammad Dalesi, in a video obtained by DAILY POST, said, “There is one guy, I saw him at the front of the house, he came out. I saw him at the front of the house, one of the residents. He is a young guy.

“I knew that there could be explosives. Of course that is what they used for their stuff, do you understand? When they want to do blasting. That is what I know that happened. I know how they operate. All of a sudden, I just heard Gboom!

“One thing is that, as at the time I came out, there was nobody in the building. They have all gone. All of them.

“When the house was burning, you know you will alert the neighbors, you will say fire, fire, they did not alert anybody.

“The luck I had was that I was almost here, if I was at the front of the house, only God knows what would have happened to me.”
