Speaking at their recent outreach at St. Mary’s Primary School, Awka, the founder of Lifting Up Initiative, Lolo Chinelo Okongwu, Esq., said that the organization is part of her corporate social responsibility.
“This organization is aimed at assisting the less fortunate children and taking some off the street in order to enable them to attain basic education in life.
“There are many children in Nigeria who are willing to go to school but are frustrated by the unavailability or inability of their parents/guardians to provide for them the necessary requirements for attending school.
“Our organization provides a platform through which donors can support or sponsor these children and give them hope of a better tomorrow.
“There are many children who are destined for greatness and to be a blessing to the world, but are challenged by the circumstances of life,” Mrs Okongwu added.
In one of their events which took place on 12th November, 2019, awards of recognition were presented to Mrs. Ngozi Uzodimma and Bar Lamid Ajisola Taofik for their outstanding support to the NGO.
