Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State on Wednesday appealed to governments and corporate organizations to help the spouses and children of fallen heroes.

The governor made the request at the Arewa House in Kaduna during the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund.

According to the governor, the armed forces have been involved in serving the people since the colonial era, and many commanders and rank and file have paid the ultimate price for maintaining the country’s peace.

“Our departed heroes left behind wives and children that must be taken care of by not only the government but also the corporate entities and good-spirited people.

“Their act of gallantry must be remembered always, while they continue to spread around battling bandits, insurgents, and other criminal elements,” he said.

The governor stated that the military services had also achieved accomplishments despite enormous hurdles.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died in the tragic Tudun Biri bombing event.
