Otu Okaiwu Abuja, the premium body of Igbo Lawyers in Abuja, under the leadership of Ejiofor Onwuaso Esq, identified with young Igbo lawyers who were affected by the JUSUN strike and other hardships in the country by providing them cash palliative to cushion the effects of the hardships.

Members of the Association were mobilized by the Welfare Committee of the Association under the Chairmanship of Okey Ajunwa Esq and they made tremendous freewill donations across board in line with the Unity of purpose of the Igbo spirit of Onye aghana Nwanne ya.

Out of a total number of 39 young lawyers affected, 26 lawyers have already collected their cash Palliatives yesterday, 18th June, 2021.

In appreciation, the beneficiaries were very excited about the development and expressed their gratitude to the Otu Oka Iwu Abuja, and the President, Mr. Onwuaso and his team for their sagacity.

Speaking after the distribution, Mr. Onwuaso in a special way appreciated the donors for their show of generosity and hailed the welfare Committee under the Chairmanship of Okey Ajunwa for a Job weldone.

Addressing the young lawyers yesterday, the Social/Welfare Officer of the Association, Chimezie Obi Esq., advised the young recipients to imbibe the spirit of Umunne which Otu Okaiwu Abuja have shown them and know that someday in the future when they grow, they may be required to show this love to the younger generation then in the true Igbo spirit of entrepreneurship and carrying our younger ones along.
