The Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual General Conference, 2021, kicked off yesterday Friday, 22nd October, 2021, and was followed today with the Health Walk which began at 7:00 am with participants fully kitted to take part in the event.

The Walk which put Port Harcourt to its feet with Legal Practitioners engaging in the Walk had its take-off point from the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

In total compliance with this year’s theme: “Taking the Lead” Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN who partook in the walk, took the lead and was awarded the Best Walker. The prize was presented by Mrs. Mbamalu of Jumbo Sports with the NBA President, Olumide Akpata and the Chairman Technical Committee on Conference Planning (TCCP), Mr. Victor Frank-Briggs all in attendance at the Real Madrid Academy off Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama in a statement issued so soon thereafter, appreciated the Chairman of TCCP and his team for a wonderful start to the AGC yesterday and that the Health Walk program today was thoughtful and timely.
