The General Superintendent of the Holy Spirit Mission, Bishop Charles Ighele, has said that Nigeria needs nation builders to further contribute to the growth of the country.

The bishop made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos, NAN reports.

According to him, the country needs nation builders in all the sectors of the economy.

“We need nation builders. We don’t just need someone that will put two hospitals or one university here and there but we need people that can build a nation.

“We need people who think more about the nation and who can also grow the nation, not people that think of what they can get from the nation, ” he said.

The bishop, however, noted that he was proud to be a Nigerian, adding that the government needed to focus more on the welfare of the people.

He said that the government needed to do more in terms of development of the nation.

“At least on this day we are thanking God that the nation is not divided, so today is worth celebrating,” he added.
