The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators has constituted a ten-man Editorial Committee to produce a Mediation Journal for the Institute.
The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators is the professional body of dispute resolution practitioners with the mandate to regulate the practice of Mediation, train prospective candidates, and encourage organizations and institutions to adopt Mediation and Conciliation as the primary means for addressing disputes.
Following her last Governing Council meeting, approval was given to constitute the Editorial Committee who will oversee the compilation and production of the Institute’s first ever Mediation Journal.
The Committee members are as follows:
1. Professor Isaac Olawale Albert: Chair
2. Professor Offornze D. Amucheazi, SAN: Alternate Chair
3. Ben Odoh, PhD: Secretary
4. Professor Ogugua Ikpeze: Member
5. Dr. Irene Ofili: Member
6. Dr. Oludare Adesina: Member
7. Dr. Austin Omomia
8. Hon. Uchenna Cyril Anioke: Member
9. Ms. Hauwa Shekarau
10. Ms. Princess Iyingi-Green
The President of the Institute, Chief Emeka J.P. Obegolu, during the press conference, stated that the Institute has done well in assembling great minds who to carry out this worthy task on behalf of the Institute.
He stated further that the Committee is in the great and overly-competent hands of Professor Isaac Olawale Albert, who serves as a Member of the Institute’s Governing Council, the Director of the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the Board Chairman of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP).
