Activities of terrorists in Kambari village of Karim-Lamido local government council and its environs in Taraba State, are no doubt, gradually being reduced to the barest minimum following ongoing airstrikes embarked on by the Nigerian Air Force.

The airstrikes, which started a day after the Iware bomb explosion, were said to have led to the destruction of the terrorists’ camps in the area.

The exercise, DAILY POST learnt has neutralized a large numbers of the terrorists.

Though our correspondent, at the time of filing this report, could not ascertain the casualty figures, scores of the bandits were, however, said to have been captured.

Elated by the development, some residents of the community who spoke with DAILY POST, said the terrorists have been giving the people sleepless nights for the past two months.

Apart from the large number of the terrorists that were said to have been captured, several numbers of their informants, were also said to have been picked.

Confirming the airstrikes, the state police command through the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abdullahi Usman, said there were airstrikes but affirmed that it was purely NAF operations.

The command, as stated by him, “is aware of the airstrikes but it was purely NAF operations, so we cannot comment on that.”
