FORCED LABOUR LAWFUL IN EMERGENCIES
In Nigeria, where there is any emergency or calamity threatening the life or well-being of a community, the Minister of Labour and Productivity may direct inhabitants of the Community to render labour for the purpose of ameliorating such risk.
Any person who wishes to be excused from such labour shall be required to pay a prescribed fee in lieu of labour.
