Socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, has insisted that Femi Adesina, spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari, is afraid that former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, will take over his position.

Omokri said this while reacting to the statement of Adesina that Buhari would teach world leaders how to manage their economy during a pandemic.

Adesina had on Monday disclosed during an interview on Channels Television that world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA, meeting would learn from his principal how to overcome economic recession during a pandemic.

Adesina said the president “would talk about security. He would talk about the girl child, SDGs, and so many things.”

Reacting, Omokri, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, said, “Femi Adesina, Buhari’s in-house clown, is afraid he is about to be replaced by Femi Fani-Kayode, hence he has stepped up his sycophancy, claiming ‘Buhari Will Teach World Leaders How To Manage Economy During Pandemic’. Is it before or after begging them for loans?”

Recall that Buhari had on Sunday departed Nigeria for New York to participate in the 76th Session of the UNGA billed to open on September 14.

The theme for this year’s UNGA is “Building Resilience Through Hope – To Recover from COVID-19, Rebuild Sustainably, Respond to Needs of the Planet, Respect the Rights of People and Revitalise the United Nations.”
