The Federal Capital Territory has announced that one new coronavirus death has been recorded in Abuja.
The FCTA disclosed this in a tweet via its Twitter account on Thursday.

The Administration also confirmed that 65 new cases of the viral infection have been recorded in the territory.

The tweet reads “65 NEW CASES, 1 DEATH IN THE FCT.

“Summary of COVID-19 FCT as at July 1st, 2020.

“Total number of confirmed cases: 1935.

“Total number of active cases: 1462.

“439 patients have been discharged with 34 deaths recorded.

“Residents are urged to take preventive measures seriously.”

Meanwhile, Nigeria recorded a total of 26,484 confirmed COVID-19 cases as on Wednesday night.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, confirmed 790 new cases across the country.
