In a groundbreaking development on August 16, 2024, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Akure Branch has elected a new leadership team, marking a fresh chapter in its governance.

Umar Onimisi Friday Esq. has been elected as the new Chairman, bringing a dynamic vision and renewed energy to the role.

In his acceptance speech, Onimisi Friday promised to champion the rule of law and address key legal challenges, vowing to expand the branch’s influence and advocacy.

Joining him is Tolu S. Abisagbo Esq. as Vice Chairman, who is set to foster collaboration and support the Chairman’s vision.

Joshua Olakunle Sebiotimo Esq. steps in as Secretary, with Nimilatei Wealth Isaiah as Assistant Secretary, ensuring smooth organizational operations.
Sefunmi Yemisi Olorunfemi Esq. will oversee the treasury, focusing on transparent and responsible financial management. Adedeko Olalekan Soji takes the role of Financial Secretary, while Adetiloye Victor Ajayi Esq. will enhance the branch’s social engagement as Social Secretary.

In communications, Akhagbenin Eromosele Joshua Esq. will craft the branch’s narrative as Publicity Secretary, and Okolike Nnadozie Jude Esq. will prioritize member welfare as Welfare Secretary. Gilbert-Ojo Charles Esq. assumes the role of Provost, dedicated to upholding legal standards and ethics.
