The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA on Friday slammed the Chairman, Senate Committee on foreign relations, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, over his recent comments threatening that President Muhammadu Buhari would launch a war against the people of South-East.

DAILY POST had reported that Senator Bulkachuwa while reacting to President Buhari’s controversial comment against the people of the Southeast, said the Federal Government would not bow to the separation agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The senator described the secession agitators as insurgents, stressing that the FG is ready to give them what they want.

Reacting, HURIWA threatened to write the International Embassies in Nigeria to impose a travel ban on the lawmaker for making such comments.

“We will be writing to the United States of America; United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany and all significant embassies in Nigeria to put them on notice that Senator Bulkachuwa is attempting to instigate war crime of genocide against the Igbo speaking Nationality of Nigeria.

“Senator Bukachuwa did not speak like a distinguished parliamentarian but like a warmonger and just like a little child. At his age can he still carry AK-47? Why are the older people who are privilege to have benefitted from Nigeria the persons at the forefronts of seeking to destroy Nigeria? What is his gain if war breaks out and his children will have to get involved in the war?”, HURIWA asked.
