“The news of the transition of one of our great and revered members, PA. EMMANUEL ABIODUN, on 23 December, 2020 came as a rude shock to the entire members and leaders of EGBE AMOFIN OODUA. Baba Emmanuel Abiodun was full of life till death came knocking; he was seen in court the week before his death.

“Baba Emmanuel Abiodun participated actively in the activities of the 2020 NBA Ibadan Branch Law Week held in December 2020 and during the events he engaged significant personalities in the legal profession including the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Olumide Akpata, and the Chair, NBA Women’s Forum, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose SAN. He also welcomed the two new Patrons of Ibadan Bar, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN and Asiwaju Adeniyi Akintola SAN to the Club of Patrons at the Law Week Dinner,” they said

Egbe Amofin said it will continue to miss late Abiodun’s passion, dexterity, contributions to the NBA, and commitment to the cause of Egbe Amofin

They pray for God to console his family and NBA Ibadan Branch which he led from 1990 to 1991

They said, “Though we are not oblivious of the fact that we are all mortals and one day we shall return to our Maker, however, we shall continue to miss PA. EMMANUEL ABIODUN for his passion, dexterity, eloquence and worthy contributions to our noble profession of law, the Nigerian Bar Association and for his unflinching commitment to the cause of EGBE AMOFIN. To many younger members of the legal profession, Pa Emmanuel Abiodun was a father indeed and a father to all.

“We pray that God Almighty will console and comfort the Abiodun Family of Imesi-Ile in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.
We commiserate with the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, which the Late Pa. Emmanuel Abiodun had the privilege to lead as its 18th Chairman from 1990 to 1991 and to serve as Patron for many years till his transition.”

Furthermore, the Forum commended the poem of Ellen Brenneman to all its members as follows:

“His Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

“Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

“Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

“And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.”

They concluded, “Adieu PA. EMMANUEL ABIODUN…”
