*Sessions To Be Held Across Zones To Educate Members On Election Procedures, Technology, And Address Concerns

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Electoral Committee has announced a series of voter sensitization sessions to be conducted across the zones as provided for in the NBA Constitution. The sessions are designed to educate members on key areas such as election procedures, the use of technology, and to address any concerns regarding the election process.
In a statement released by the committee, the Chairman, Oluseun Abimbola SAN, emphasized the importance of voter awareness and education to ensure full participation of all eligible members in the voting process. The Secretary, Huwaila Muhammad Ibrahim, also reiterated the committee’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent election process.

The sensitization sessions are scheduled to take place in various cities across the Eastern, Northern, and Western zones of the country. Branches within the states in each group in every zone are invited to attend at the host branch as listed. The sessions will be hosted in a hybrid format by the stated branches of the listed cities, with the option for virtual meetings if preferred by any of the hosts or zones.

The Eastern Zone sessions will be held in Enugu on July 3rd for Ebonyi, Anambra, and Enugu branches; Calabar on July 6th for Cross River and Akwa Ibom branches; and Port Harcourt on July 4th for Rivers, Bayelsa, Imo, and Abia branches.

In the Northern Zone, sessions will take place in FCT Abuja on July 8th for Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, and Plateau branches; Yola on July 6th for Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, Taraba, and Borno branches; and Kano on July 2nd for Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kebbi branches.

The Western Zone sessions will be held in Ibadan on July 13th for Osun, Ekiti, and Oyo branches; Benin on July 6th for Delta, Ondo, and Edo branches; and Lagos State on July 3rd for Ogun and Lagos branches.
