“Always plan ahead, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark”

♦️The release of 15 point agenda for young lawyers by Babatunde Ajibade SAN had quelled the daily preoccupation Nigerian lawyers (New wigs in particular) have about welfare and progress. Ajibade SAN had pounded the matter heavily and pushed it to a dark cemetery, only history can let the matter indelible.
But, that is only if we give our utmost support and cooperation now and after Ajibade SAN ascend unto power mantle.
♦️ The grand agenda reminds me of what the wise Bob Anderson says:
” Leaders set agenda for the future “.
More so, the crux of Ajibade SAN’s agenda revolves around progress and welfare, this signifies the real definition of leadership, like what Benjamin Desraili said:
” Power has only one duty- to secure the social welfare of the people “.
♦️If truth be told, the 15 point agenda had successfully captured the epicenter of Nigeria’s legal profession’s problem as he talks about remuneration, harassment, integration of lawyers into the activities Bar, expansion of employment opportunities for lawyers, and eradication of quack practices in the profession amongst others. Below is the link to 15 point agenda for further details:

♦️The glad tidings about the agenda, is the ability of Ajibade SAN to plan the possible and let the impossible unplanned. His promises are realistic and plain. Ajibade SAN wants to implement policies that will last long after his service to the NBA. Like the saying of Shareel Sandberg:
“Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure the impact lasts in your absence”.
♦️ If I may have the latitude of admonition, I would tell lawyers especially, those eligible to vote to remember that, today is our opportunity to build a better tomorrow, and building a better tomorrow all depends on pursuing reality and avoiding eye candy. Let’s join hand and build a good fortune for ourselves and the generation of lawyers yet to come. Remember the saying that:
“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago”.
~Warren Buffett .
♦️ Finally, to Ajibade’s supporters who believe in realistic progress against utopia. Below are four tips for our success in this journey:
“Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively and pursue persistently.”
~ William A. Ward
