The Minister of Sports Development has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing the recent challenges faced by the Super Eagles during their international engagement in Libya. The incident, which generated widespread concern among fans and stakeholders, has prompted swift action from the Federal Government to safeguard the interests of Nigerian athletes and prevent future occurrences.
In a statement addressing the issue, the Sports Minister emphasized the administration’s determination to protect athletes’ welfare and ensure that such incidents do not reoccur. “The Federal Government is fully aware of the situation that unfolded with our Super Eagles in Libya,” the Minister said. “We want to assure Nigerians that we are not taking this matter lightly.
