Prof. Abdulrazak Garba Habib, Co-Chairman, Kano COVID-19 Taskforce and three of his members have tested positive to coronavirus.
Kano State Government on Friday confirmed that the development on Friday in terse Press statement signed Hadiza Namadi, Information Officer to Kano ministry of health.
The commissioner in the statement, therefore, advised the general public to keep social distancing, avoid overcrowding and stay at home to keep safe as it continues to take measures to contain the spread of the disease in the state.
However, Dr. Tsanyawa, with deep sense of sadness and on behalf of the state government, hereby announces that the Co-chairman and some members of Kano State Taskforce on Covid 19 were tested and three of the results came out positive of the Corona Virus disease.
With this discovery, the 14 member Task Force committee are now transfixed, as the co-chairman has tested positive
It was gathered that, the co-chairman of the committee has tested positive, just as two medical doctors in the committee have also tested positive for the virus,”.
Presently, 25 people have tested positive for the deadly disease in Kano, according to Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
“As at 10:20 pm 16th April there are 442 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 152 have been discharged with 13 deaths.
