The Cross River State acting Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Maurice Odey Eneji has inaugurated members of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJI) Monitoring Committee, in furtherance of the implementation of the administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJI), 2016 of Cross River State.
According to the ACJ, the constitution of the monitoring committee made by virtue of the provisions of Section 487 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law, 2016 of Cross River State.

The Members of the Monitoring Committee are:
1. Hon. Justice Maurice O. Eneji – (Chairman)
2. Hon. Justice Imelda B. Etape – (Member)
3. Edem N. Okokon (Chief Registrar) – (Member)
4. Mercy Toney Ene (Deputy Chief Registrar) – (Member)
5. Micheal Okim Arong Esq (HON CCL) – (Member)
6. Roseline Archibong Inameti (Representative -NBA) – (Member)
7. Roland Abang Esq (Representative -Nigeria Police Force) – Member
8. Bartholomew Ohuka (Reps. -Correctional Service Centre) – (Member)
9. Barr. James Ibor (Reps. Non- Govt. Organization) – (Member)

Justice Eneji, noted the term of reference to the administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJI), 2016 of Cross River State.

“Monitor to ascertain that Correctional Service Centre’s and the Courts are decongested”
“Monitor to ensure that trial of criminal cases go on day to day at designated High Court and Magistrate’s Courts.”
“Confirm the establishment of Community Service Centres in each of the Judicial Divisions.”
“Monitor to ascertain returns of cases, remands and Criminal Proceeding.”

Speaking during the inauguration exercise, Justice Maurice charged the committee to do whatever may be necessary to give effect to the administration of Criminal Justice Law, 2016 of Cross River State.
