Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has rewarded four exceptional students with a total of N4 million for their outstanding performance in the 2024 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

Each student received N1 million to support their higher education pursuits.

Speaking at the award ceremony in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed, represented by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to human capital development.

He stressed the importance of education as the foundation for national progress, stating, “Investing in education is essential for building a prosperous future.”

The governor highlighted the exceptional achievements of the students, including a top score of 348 by a Bauchi student, as evidence of the state’s progress in enhancing educational standards.

He urged the Ministry of Education to continue fostering talent to produce more top-performing students in the future.
The celebrated students—Kawthar Shehu (348), Geoffrey Yakubu (347), Abdullahi Garba (347), and Magaji Umar (333)—were lauded for their academic excellence.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Alhaji Ali Babayo, commended Governor Mohammed for his dedication to creating an environment conducive to academic success. He encouraged other students to strive for excellence.

Speaking on behalf of the student’s parents, Malam Ali Garba expressed heartfelt gratitude for the financial assistance, describing it as a significant boost to the student’s educational pursuits.
