Some bandits have kidnapped the district head of Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Although the incident took place on Sunday, the state police command confirmed the incident on Thursday.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, said the district head, Steven Ibrahim, was abducted by the hoodlums alongside two others while walking on a reservation centre around the Kujama highway.

A security source, who pleaded anonymity, also confided in our correspondent that the incident occurred on Sunday evening, adding that the district head was in the company of two others when the gunmen riding on motorbikes abducted them at gunpoint.

“The place where the incident happened was behind the Bethel Baptist School and the incident happened around 7 pm on Sunday. People around the Anguwar Ayaba community said they saw them being conveyed on their (bandits) motorcycles into the bush,” he said.
