Nigerians have mocked Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo after he paid tribute to Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the late Chief of Army Staff, who died in a plane crash on Friday

Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari were conspicuously missing at the funeral of the Army chief on Saturday, sparking outrage on social media.

However, in a tweet on Sunday morning, Osinbajo paid tribute to Attahiru and the other late officers on the ill-fated plane.

Responding to his tweet, Nigerians slammed him for paying his tribute a day after the deceaseds were buried.

“Their Blood is on the Hands of all of you in this government,” a Twitter user, John, said.

“King of Condolences….,” wrote Akan CE.

Another Twitter user, Femi, wrote: “Lmao wizkid plis.”

“Tweet isn’t enough, not a remedy for your absence,” Longfellow said.

“Useless man,” Prince of Africa wrote.

“Your Administration Is Failed,” wireless_Jnr_5G_Network wrote.

“Over raw best [sic] in twitter Vice President,” Dark Man X said.
