The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba, has directed that offices in the Igbosere division of the state high court be temporary relocated to the Ikeja and Lagos divisions of the court, as a result of the destruction and vandalization melted out on the court in the wake of the EndSARS protest.

The directive is contained in a circular issued by the chief registrar of the court, O.A.Okunuga (Mrs.) sighted by Legaldeskng .The circular is dated the 21st day of January, 2021, and has the reference number, LASJ/312455/vol.XXVI/70.

The letter reads as follows:

‘RELOCATION OF OFFICES IN THE HIGH COURT OF LAGOS STATE, IGBOSERE’.

‘I have the directive of the Hon. Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem O. Alogba, to inform the general public and all the court users that as a result of the aftermath of the ENDSARS protest in [sic] the vandalization, looting, and burning of the entire courthouse of the Lagos High Court, Igbosere, major sections/departments of the High Court have been temporarily relocated to the Ikeja High Court and Tafawa Balewa Square

1] LITIGATION SECTION: Tafawa Balewa Square (Annex) Lagos.

2] DEPUTY SHERIFF SECTION: Rosaline Omotosho Court House, Ikeja

3] PROBATE REGISTRY: Ikeja High Court by Polaris Bank Building

4] OFFICIAL RECEIVER: Tafawa Balewa Square (Annex) Lagos
