The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, today paid a working visit to the Inspector General of Police, IGP. Usman Alkali Baba.

The president went in-company of the NBA 1st Vice President, John Aikpokpo-Martins, General Secretary, Joyce Oduah, National Welfare Secretary, Kunle Edun, Chairman Gwagwalada branch, Issa Aliyu, and Secretary of the NBA Human Rights Committee, Bernard Onigha.

Other people at the meeting who were also in company of the IGP are the DIGs and CP Legal.

Many issues including strengthening the synergy between the Police and the NBA particularly with a view to eliminating or reducing the misunderstanding and frictions between lawyers and the Policemen were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, they resolved to set up a joint team to work out a lasting framework.
